Some people consider computers to be more of a hindrance than a help. Others believe that they have greatly increased human potential. How could computers be considered a hindrance? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience.

Computers are one of the most wonderful inventions. They are replacing humans in many labour jobs some of which are also too risky and life threatening. However, some consider computers to be more of a hindrance which might be true to some extent. This article will try to give some personal ideas on how this happens.
Firstly, people are becoming too much dependent on computers. For example, just ten years ago, students worked very hard to do research. They had to sit in the library for the whole day and this might have continued for months when they had to do their thesis paper. On the contrary, nowadays students just want to quickly search for information on the Internet and do not pay enough attention to the origin of those information. As long as the information seems to be suitable for their needs, they will just copy and put into their assignments.
Secondly, computers are now becoming one of the greatest threats to young people by giving them so many distractions. For instance, it can be seen easily in many Internet shops, young people are spending their precious time on playing useless computer games day and night. This had not happened before when the computer was only for wealthy people and not for the poor. Nowadays many young students only focus on online games but forget what they have to do in schools to have a bright career prospect.
To conclude, to some extent computers can be considered to be more of a hindrance than a help. This is all because of the over dependence of humans on computers and because there are so many distractions when using them.
