SAMPLE1.

Nowadays, nobody can deny the importance of universities in the modern world. It should be stated that some people think that the equal chances for two genders is suitable and fairly, while others it can have bad impacts for society. The following manifestations will shed more light on the proposed ideas.

Emphasizing the positive aspects of equality in the number of men and women in the universities, it should be mentioned that there are three convincing reasons why some people agree with it including availability of flexibility, preferences and suitable records of the considered field in both sex. They believe that human being (in both genders) in compatible with different situations and we should pay attention to his scientific preferences and record to let them come to university, although it may exist some different features in women and men. For instance, the engineering fields or fields that are related to military are usually considered to be male fields, but we should not limit girls and females to attend in these fields of university, if they can have enough ability to resolve their problems with these male conditions.

Nonetheless, it should be taken for granted that sexual equality in the colleges and academic schools has its own disadvantages. First of all, there are individual differences between men and women in their personality features. As an illustration, girls usually are more emotional and sensitive and boys are more rational and have physical power in their body. As this reason, we should produce some universities for female fields and some for male fields or in some fields increase the chance of one of them than the other. Besides, this is not good to let the person in a field that is in contrast of his nature. It means it is better to take girls in female field and boys in male fields.

To put the whole issue in a nutshell, I myself agree more with the ideas with the latter, since I think we should study the requirements of a field and check the needs of people in both sex and according to this requirements and need, build separate university for girls and boys.

SAMPLE2.

Before two to three decades, kinds of subjects to be taught in universities were limited. However, nowadays the quality and numbers of subjects have increased significantly. Although not all subjects fit both males and females, it is argued that universities should permit equal numbers of candidates from both genders to submit in every subject. This will be proven by looking at the unexpected excellence of some students in unexpected subjects and the freedom they should have to decide which subject they prefer to study.

Firstly, throughout the world, some individuals show excellence in some fields that were uncommon for their gender to be distinguished in. For example, in the United Arab of Emirates, particularly in the construction media, it was impossible to see female site engineer before twenty years. However, today the best intelligent and hard-working site engineers are ladies. This example shows that if universities did not allow females to specify in this subject, those excellent engineers would not exist. Thus, it is believed that universities should permit equal numbers of male and female to study all sorts of subjects.

Secondly, university students are mature and free enough to decide which field they prefer to study, and universities should respect this freedom. This practice will allow candidates to find out subjects they are really strong in and subjects they are weak in. This means that, even though universities are sure that some subjects are not fitting candidates in either gender, they should leave them free-handed to choose. Thus students will be 100% convinced weather subjects they have chosen suitable or not to them.

After analyzing these two points of view that hold true the idea of accepting equal numbers of students from both genders, it is clear why this theory has garnered a lot of support. It is recommended that universities should give more and more freedom to students.

SAMPLE3.

A certain criteria is set in any university to determine whether a student is accepted in a subject or not, this criteria involves factors such as the grades of the student, the date he registered for that subject, the class capacity and many more. However factors such as the age, gender and race of the student are not taken in consideration at all. On the other hand some people believe that every subject should have an equal amount of female and male students.

In my opinion accepting the students or not should be solely based on their skills, knowledge of the subject and their competence, not their gender. The traditional way of thinking that men excelled in certain types of jobs, while women excelled in other jobs has proven to be just a myth, for example the best chefs in the world are male chef not female ones, unlike the typical stereotype that women are better in cooking than men. Also a lot of females serve in the army now days in countries such as America and Israel and have shown a great success in them, so it is fair to say that men and women should be treated equally and no discrimination should be allowed whether it is a positive or a negative discrimination.

In addition to that such idea would invoke a lot of problems some people would demand that the class should be divided according to the ethnic origins of the students, while others may want to divide it with respect to the student’s ages, or even by the religion that the students follow.  To sum up in the end, students should not be treated according to their gender, they should be treated in the same behavior and manner, and the idea of dividing the class is very illogical and would be inconvenient to the society we live in.
